This week is a normal kinda week for us. Hubby may or may not be home, Daughter is playing high school field hockey and the boys are always hungry. I try to stick to routine with our meals so that way its easy to plan aka taco Tuesday, take out Thursday, etc. I also use Butcher Box for our meats, which also helps with planning. Hubby and I eat mostly Keto and I try to add starch for the kids.
Sunday: Tri-top steak with sauted shrimp
I put the steak in ziplock bag and poured entire bottle of Primal Kitchen steak sauce an let it marinate in fridge for 1/2 day. Cooked the steak on our Ninja Foodie grill/airfryer (LOVE THIS!). When flipped I top with a pad of butter. I use a frozen bag of peeled and deveined shrimp and saute in butter with garlic. I threw a couple potato smiles in the air fryer for the kids and roasted 2 bags of fresh broccoli with olive oil and salt.
Monday: White fish with roasted green beans
I used a bag of frozen tilapia fillets sprayed with avocado oil and sprinkled with a lemon pepper mix. Fresh bag of green beans tossed with olive oil and italian seasoning. I threw in a couple cherry tomatoes we had and cooked both fish and green beans in 425 oven til done and tomatoes started to pop. Cooked a bag of instant brown rice for the kids.
Tuesday: Tacos
Browned ground hamburger sprinkled taco seasoning and threw in half a jar of salsa. Everyone makes their own. We use crunchy taco shells, carb smart tortillas, corn chips, shredded cheese, sour cream, lettuce, taco sauce and chopped avocado.
Wednesday Chicken tenders and asparagus
I split the amount of chicken tenders I have and 1/2 are marinated with bbq sauce and other in Franks hot sauce. Then dip both set of tenders in shredded cheese then wrapped with bacon and cooked in the ninja foodi grill/airfryer. Roast asparagus with olive oil and salt in oven at 450 till a little crisp. Fries in air fryer for the kids.
Thursday: Take out
We rotate in family who picks where to get dinner.
Friday: Left overs
Its basically fend for yourself.
Saturday: Pizza night/ Salmon
Frozen pizza for the kids, Hubby and I usually eat frozen salmon with whatever veggie we have on hand. all cooked in oven.
